Medicin.io LLC builds the infrastructure that connects patients to independent healthcare providers. Here's exactly what we do — and what we don't.
We process your platform fee through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store card data on our servers.
Every connection routes through an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant communication bridge. No personal phone numbers are ever exposed.
We verify that every provider on our network holds active, valid board certifications and licenses. Verification is not endorsement.
Medicin assumes no liability for clinical decisions, diagnoses, or treatment. All clinical liability rests with the independent provider.
Providers are not employees, agents, or contractors of Medicin. The clinical relationship exists solely between you and the provider.
Medicin is not a substitute for 911 or emergency services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
Medicin.io LLC ("Medicin") operates a technology infrastructure platform that facilitates secure, encrypted connections between users and independent, board-certified healthcare providers. Medicin is not a healthcare provider, medical practice, clinical facility, or Management Services Organization (MSO) that directs clinical care. Medicin does not practice medicine, provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, or maintain clinical records.
Medicin operates strictly as a technology and administrative services layer. The platform provides: telephony bridging and encrypted communication infrastructure, payment processing and financial facilitation, identity and credential verification for platform access, and administrative documentation of platform usage. Medicin does not provide clinical software, electronic medical records (EMR), clinical decision support, or any tool used in the direct practice of medicine.
Medicin maintains strict data isolation protocols. No clinical data — including diagnoses, treatment plans, clinical observations, or ICD-10 codes — is stored on Medicin servers. All clinical documentation is the sole responsibility of the independent provider and is maintained in their own private clinical systems. The platform captures only administrative data necessary for connection facilitation: timestamps, session identifiers, connection duration, and platform access verification. All voice communications are routed through HIPAA-compliant encrypted bridges with full number masking.
Upon completion of a platform connection, Medicin generates an Administrative Encounter Ledger (AEL). This document is strictly a record of technical facility usage — it is not a medical record, clinical summary, or Protected Health Information (PHI) record as defined under 45 CFR § 160.103. The AEL records only: infrastructure session ID, connection timestamps and duration, platform access category, and independent provider identification for verification purposes.
The platform access fee may be eligible for reimbursement through your Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), or as an out-of-network insurance claim. Medicin provides no warranty of coverage or reimbursement. Eligibility is determined solely by your plan administrator, insurance provider, or HSA/FSA custodian. Medicin does not process, accept, or bill insurance. The platform fee is a direct-pay technology infrastructure charge. Any clinical documentation necessary for a reimbursement claim must be obtained directly from the independent provider.
All providers accessible through the Medicin platform are independent, licensed healthcare professionals. They are not employees, agents, representatives, or contractors of Medicin.io LLC Medicin does not hire, supervise, direct, evaluate, credential, or manage providers. Providers independently determine their availability, clinical judgment, documentation practices, and prescribing decisions. The clinical relationship exists solely and exclusively between the user and the independent provider.
Medicin is not a substitute for 911, emergency medical services, or in-person emergency care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. The Medicin platform is designed for non-emergency clinical guidance only.
